Lock Upis an action-based reality show in which contestants notorious for their controversies are imprisoned in jails and cameras will be watching the prisoners 24/7. Lock Up’s first season Lock Up, known as Lock Up: Badass Jail, Atyaachari Khel, was aired in the channels of ALTBalaji along with MX Player on 27 February 2022.
Actress Kangana Ranaut hosted the show The finale called known as the Badass Finale, took place on the 7th of May in 2022. The stand-up comic Munawar Faruqui was the winner of the competition, with actress Payal Rohatgi named the runner-up.
About Lock Up
Based on the contest rules the 19 contestants, referred to by the name of “Inmates” (or Khaidis,who were thought to be a threat to the public must fight to make a living and impress the viewers as well as the host, Kangana Ranaut. Winner of Lock Up season 1
Munawar Faruqui Munawar Faruqui, an Indian stand-up actor and singer, was the winner of the inaugural season on Lock Up. He was awarded the prize of a lifetime along with a car, cash prize of 20 lakhs and an all-expenses-paid trip Italy. The most notable controversy he faced occurred when he was detained in violation of the Hate speech law in India on the 1 1 January 2021 as he performed the stand-up show at Madhya Pradesh. It was alleged that he made offensive jokes about Hindu gods.
