Colors Kannada debuted the fourth season of Bigg Boss which is the Kannada version of the wildly popular Indian reality TV show. The show aired on the 9th of October, 2016 at 6 o’clock in the evening. Sudeep continued hosting the show as the show’s previous seasons. The season’s scriptwriter for the show was Nagendra Bhat. The first season of Bigg Boss Kannada to be filmed and telecast in high-definition was this season.

Through Colors Kannada, Sudeep inked an agreement worth 18 crore (US$2.2 million) to host the channel’s five seasons to begin with the current season. Sudeep continues to host this season.

- Prior to airing “Doddmane Suddi” (‘News from the Big House’) provided a summary of the day’s events, and “Theremareya Kathe” (‘Story behind the Scenes’) featured never-before-seen show footage that wasn’t part of the initial broadcasts.
